Our Story

Kingdom Over Fear was born from a chapter of my life when I felt lost, hurt, and broken.

I had walked away from a domestic violence relationship, but leaving did not mean the fear immediately left me. I carried the hurt, the memories, and the broken pieces of what I had experienced. There were things I had been through that people could not see just by looking at me.

As a single mom, I also carried another kind of fear—the fear of being judged.

I felt shame. I worried about what people would think of me and whether I would be accepted. I felt like I didn't fit the picture of what I thought my life was supposed to look like.

Then one day, I was invited to church.

I didn't know it at the time, but that invitation would become part of one of the biggest changes in my life.

Through my relationship with Christ and the church family God placed around me, the shame I had carried slowly began to be replaced with love, acceptance, and belonging.

I began to notice a change in myself.

There was a peace in me that I hadn't experienced before.

The circumstances of my life didn't suddenly become perfect. But something inside of me was different. I was learning that my identity wasn't defined by my past, my mistakes, my relationship status, or other people's opinions of me.

I was learning who I was in Christ.

On July 22, 2025, I was baptized.

For me, baptism represented a new beginning—a decision to leave my old life behind and walk forward with Christ.

And that is where the heart of Kingdom Over Fear comes from.

Kingdom Over Fear is about choosing the Kingdom of Christ over fear.

The fear of rejection.
The fear of being judged.
The fear of being ashamed of your story.
The fear of not fitting in.
The fear of not following the status quo.
The fear that your past has the power to define your future.

I've experienced those fears.

But I've also experienced what happens when you choose faith in the middle of them.

Kingdom Over Fear is a reminder that you don't have to be ashamed of where you've been. You don't have to live according to the expectations of the world. And you don't have to let fear decide who you're going to become.

You can choose Christ.

You can choose faith.

You can choose peace.

You can choose God's Kingdom.

Because fear may be part of your story—

but it doesn't have to be the end of it.

Choose the Kingdom. Overcome the Fear. Walk in Faith.
